“Armen Avanessian reframes selling as sensory architecture, not persuasion. Selling Senses blends neuroscience, intuition, and real-world case studies to show how sight, sound, scent, touch, taste, and inner wisdom drive decisions. Practical, original, and human, it’s a blueprint for building brands people feel, remember, and trust – with clarity and depth.”

“A Fresh, Insightful Take on Sales That Every Business & Marketer Should Read”

Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2026 — Amazon

“This was one of the most original business books I’ve read in a long time. Rather than focusing solely on data and traditional tactics, Armen invites readers to explore how the five senses and even intuition, shape real buying decisions. From sight and sound to smell, touch, and taste, the book offers practical strategies and memorable examples that show how sensory engagement can influence customer behavior and build deeper brand loyalty. What I appreciated most was how the book bridges science, psychology, and real-world applications. It doesn’t just tell you that sensory marketing matters, it shows you how it matters and why emotional connection and experience should be at the center of any sales strategy. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a marketer, or anyone in a customer-facing role, this book gives you tools to elevate your approach beyond traditional selling. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to rethink the way they connect with people… this is strategy plus the heart.”

“More than a Sales Book”

Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2026 — Amazon

“This is a fascinating book that’s hard to categorize as a pure sales book; it’s a bit more than that! What makes this book special is how it lays out the various ways to engage a ‘buyer’s senses’ to: 1) Enhance a presentation 2) Revamp the customer experience 3) Redesign a product 4) Shift or create a mood 5) Generate empathy/trust et. al. This book lies at the intersection of Marketing, Product Design, and Sales with a pinch of Behavioral Psychology. Truly a ‘different’ read than your typical sales book. The book exemplifies how thinking differently about how we ‘sell, market, and present’ can enhance selling by engaging the senses, from haptics to the olfactory system. Armen, I strongly recommend you push this book to universities and colleges, specifically their marketing and sales departments! My 2 cents 😆.
